P H Y S I C A L-
Physical Appearance: Short and full of personality basically. Ivy's main features are that of her horse descendants. The only pure donkey feature she carries is a slightly different muzzle and long ears. Everything else is generally horse-specific from her small hooves to her full rump. She has large eyes and SO MUCH HAIR.
Phenotype: Appaloosa.
Genotype: EE/Aa/nLp
Passable Traits: Hella rad mane and tail, markings, long lashes, poof, long ears.

P E R S O N A L I T Y-
| Sweet + Mothering | Bossy | Confident + Bold | Hygienic | Fiesty | Two-faced | Humerous + laid back | Cocky | Brave + Daring | Curious (Physically) |
Sweet + Mothering-
Ivy is usually very friendly and if you pass her by she's likely to give you a compliment. She loves batting her eyelashes- not necessarily to get something she wants, but because she enjoys getting compliments back on her approachable demeanour and sweet words. She has a soft spot for foals or anyone vulnerable and will do almost anything she can to help or look after them. She loves feeling needed, and small foals- even if they're bigger than her- are just too darn cute!

Bossy-
Sometimes- ok a lot- Ivy can get carried away if she has knowledge on a situation at hand and feels as though she can help a great deal. She'll try to shun those in charge or ignore them completely so she can be of as much service as possible. It's most likely due to her small size and fear of being over-looked that she needs to be known and get her word out, especially if she knows a lot about the subject.

Confident + Bold-
Ivy is a 'flaunt it' kind of mare. She loves her curves and he flaws. She's accepted that because of her breed, she'll most likely always be poofy and pudgy, but she loves it and embraces it. She's very out there with her hair styles, changing them often and she loves to drape herself in flowers and accessories that may not be necessary. She can easily be spotted in the crowd, sporting bright gear and flaunting her style like there's no tomorrow.

Hygienic-
Dirt, insects and murky water don't mix well with Ivy's shiny white coat. If absolutely necessary she'll dive into mud and get her mane and tail dirty but if someone's life doesn't depend on it, she'll stay well away from anything that could mess up her cleanliness. She is often found grooming herself or rubbing up against tree trunks in order to flatten her coat. She loves bathing in crystal clear water, washing her thick mane and tail, and often rolls in flowers so she smells nice.

Fiesty-
This girl can be sweet as pie, but if you do anything to upset her she'll turn on you and bite you right were the sun don't shine (trust, she has indeed done it before). She can have a sharp tongue and say things she often won't mean. Afterward she'll most likely apologize, but during a hissy fit it's hard to imagine such a sweet creature ever existed in her poisonous gaze.

Two-Faced-
Ivy can be genuine, and she does usually mean the nice things she says to those around her, but that doesn't mean she won't turn to someone else right after and bitch to them about one of your flaws or how she doesn't like your personality. She enjoys gossip and loves hearing the scoop about her herdmates, and spreading the news as well. She's careful about who she bitches to however, making sure she'll talk with someone who'll most likely agree.

Humerous + Laid Back-
Ivy's always up for a good joke or prank. She has a good sense of humour and can often be found laughing or making others laugh until they're holding their sides. She's laid back in the sense that she doesn't take much seriously, which is why she's good at joking around. If jokes are made about her, she'll either laugh with you or simply shrug it off, continuing on with life unphased. She's generally up for anything, casual about most things and can be a good mare to tell odd things to, because she doesn't act shocked most of the time.

Cocky-
If Ivy wins a competition or a bet, or anything for that matter, you'll probably never hear the end of it. She loves to win, though she doesn't say so until she's holding the trophy. She tends to brag quite a bit if she comes out on top, which can be a little irritating, but it's all in good fun for her, she never means any harm, she's simply proud of herself.

Brave + Daring-
Despite her size, Ivy is very brave and will plunge head first into a situation that could be very dire. Although she doesn't like getting dirty, she will do if it means something good will come of it. Thanks to her fiesty trait, she doesn't fear much and sometimes her temper drives her will to adventure in dangerous places.

Curious (Physically)-
Ivy can sometimes be a little interested about the anatomy of animals every shape and size. She can be found poking and prodding at others' body parts simply because she's curious as to how they feel and look compared to hers. Generally she opts for dead animals- animals she doesn't get to see up close properly. Of course this is the only thing she'll do willingfully that includes getting dirty and germy because her drive to see body parts is extremely strong. She doesn't usually tell others about her fascination but sometimes it can be hard to explain herself when she's caught in between a herd mates legs looking at their nipples.

Strengths:
- Great eyesight
- Able to jump rather large heights for her size
- Courageous
- Able to win the hearts of others
- Thick winter coat means she can fair fine in winter
Weaknesses:
- Short
- Coat doesn't generally thin out in summer
- Because of her size she will most likely be unable to birth naturally
- Slow healing process
- Clumsy

H I S T O R Y-
Before Birth-
--------------------------
On a chilly winters night, a beautiful miniature horse by the name of Gazette was making her way back to her home after a night out with her friends. Usually- because of her size- she'd be escorted by one of the mares she was usually with, but tonight she insisted on going alone, as to not burden anyone. She was having trouble finding her home, the tunnels were always confusing to her, but she honestly thought she'd eventually find her way. She couldn't fly either, in the winter her wings usually ached when she tried to use them, so she was without extra guidance- and height. She was a gutsy, brave mare though and had no doubt that she'd be able to find her way home eventually.

Finally she found it, her cave adorned with purple flowers and glowing candles. How could anyone miss it? She beamed, perking up and fastening her pace so she could get to warmth quicker. However before she could even reach the front door she was attacked, the stallion- only merely a few hands higher than her- violently throwing her to the ground. She tried to scream for help but before she knew it she had been knocked unconscious.
Once she awoke, she was in her nest, surrounded by her friends and numb from the neck down. They explained to her that they had found her rather far from home, barely conscious and bleeding. The only thing Gazette could remember was the sound of his deep voice saying, 'We'll meet again.' The chilling words would stick in her mind heavily, for she soon found out she had been impregnated. She had the child months later, a boy, and hadn't the heart to abandon him. She named him Danbo. Thankfully, he resembled her almost 100%, so she didn't have to be reminded of her attacker. The only thing different was that he didn't carry red eyes like her, he carried bright green ones. The whole of Breim was warned, and immediately they set out to catch the cruel stallion. Many would judge Gazette for keeping the boy, but through all the criticism, she would stand proudly by her son, ignoring the words whispered her way.

When Danbo was 14 and Gazette was 32, she met a stallion named Devon. He was a Welsh pony, and claimed to be a handy man, useful and good at fixing foundations and homes that needed it. Gazette was wary at first, she hadn't seen him around, and she was always cautious of strangers. But, through word of mouth she found out he was actually well known, and quite popular. He did work for many clients, and had clients who would swear by his talent for fixing. Gazette had no clue how she hadn't heard of or seen him before, but once he had charmed her and swept her off her feet, she eventually forgot all about her initial hesitation and fell head over heels for him. They were married shortly after, and then Ivy was introduced to the world.

Youngling-
-------------------------
Gazette needed quite a bit of help to birth Ivy, as she was a very chubby baby. There were no real complications however, and Ivy was thankfully a happy, healthy child. She had deep blue-green eyes like her, and because of this, Gazette often wondered why Danbo's eyes perfectly matched Devon's, despite them not being related, but she shrugged the thought off every time. Ivy was a boisterous and loud filly, always asking her mother for something or bugging her father about anything she found odd. Devon was always patient with her, playing with her and allowing her to climb all over him without complaint. Gazette spent hours just watching them, and soon Ivy formed a close bond with her father. She could always be found fluttering around him, asking him the many questions of the world.

When Ivy was 4, another brother appeared out of the blue. They named him Absolem. After their third child, things seemed to grow a little intense between Gazette and Devon. Devon began verbally abusing Gazette, telling her she was worthless and would never accomplish anything in life. Gazette never understood why this sudden change in him had come about, but tried to please him as much as she could so she didn't end up on her own. Devon seemed extremely invested in the children, but utterly bored with Gazette.

A few months passed this way, when Danbo suddenly broke it to his parents that he was going to leave Breim and become a Vagabond, mainly because he'd grown tired of the underground tunnels and wanted to expand his horizons, he wanted to discover things and find a family out in the wilderness. Gazette broke down in tears, hugging her son as tight as she could. It took her a good while to come to terms with this decision, and although she tried many times to convince him to stay, Danbo could not be persuaded. He knew what he wanted. When the day came for him to leave, Gazette hugged him tightly and told him she would always be waiting for him if he was to return. Ivy was devastated, she loved her brother, he was one of her best friends in the small world she lived in. She didn't really understand why Danbo was leaving, was it something she had done? She asked her parents often, but they didn't know what to tell her. Other than 'it wasn't your fault'. When the time came for Danbo to say goodbye to Devon, Devon hugged his son, and as he stepped away, he said in a deep baratone, "We'll meet again, son."

"We'll meet again."

Gazette froze, wide eyed and in shock. With those mere words everything came flooding back to her. Devon- her husband- the father of Ivy and Absolem- was also the father of Danbo, the stallion who'd attacked her all those years ago. Devon eyed the mare, but said nothing, and Gazette too kept her mouth shut, her excuse for crying being because her son was leaving- even though it was truthfully because she had married the stallion who'd tried to kill her, she was sure of it. There was no question about it, it was definitely him, and he was right, they did meet again.

Gazette was too afraid to speak up about it, in fear of what would happen if he found out she knew the truth. Danbo had left, and Gazette hadn't said anything to him before he became a Vagabond, so really there was nothing else she could do- she had been shrunken down to a tiny little ant... So, she continued to play happy housewife, looking after her two remaining children like the compliant mare she was. Devon- for the moment- didn't seem suspicious, so all could remain calm for the still young Ivy and Absolem. Ivy was a rambunctious child, always running about and nipping at everyone's ankles. Gazette had a rather wide friendship circle, those who she had nested with in the long winters still visited often, always in awe at Ivy's personality. One evening however, Devon revoked his wife's rights to see her friends, telling her that they all wanted to take her away from him. Devon was certainly, slowly, losing his mind.
When Ivy turned 7, she began frequently visiting her grandfather- who was still going strong despite his age. He told her many stories of his life and the adventures he had been on in the past. He always dreaded when Ivy was to go back home; he didn't like Devon in the least, seeing the way he scolded Gazette if she put a foot wrong. The great, old stallion knew something would go wrong. And it eventually did.

Ivy returned home one evening, after a regular trip to her grandfather's. It was a humid summer afternoon, and she was unfortunate enough to get lost among a large crowd of people watching a street performer. There was never usually things going on, on her route home, and so she was definitely disorientated by it. The horses, all very much larger than her, most definitely took part in freaking her out, and she fled, going the exact opposite way of home.

The tunnel she was running down eventually grew darker and darker, and it felt as though it stretched on forever. She began to panic, heart racing and hooves tripping out from under her every few meters. Then, abruptly, she collided with the end of the tunnel, and was knocked unconscious. When she awoke, her left wing was sending excruciating waves of pain throughout her whole body, and when she tried to use it to stand, all she could do was cry out from how terribly it hurt. Thankfully her cries didn't go unheard, and she was found and taken to the doctors for emergency surgery. Her wing was to be amputated. She had broken it beyond repair. When she had come to off the anesthetic, the doctors asked who they could contact to come and get her. "Gazette is my mummy's name." She informed, before telling them where she lived. Those looking over her left to try and organize her mother to come- she would have been worried sick.

Though, back at home, there was a whole other investigation. One of the mares who'd found Ivy approached her home only to find the authorities surrounding it. Upon inquiring about what had happened, they told her that Absolem had run and told them his mother had been hurt bad. They went to investigate, and found her passed on at the scene. Devon was no where to be found.

Absolem was brought to Ivy, and the two children were kept at the medical quarters. Worry flooded the room as the children's fate was decided.

The two small and vulnerable foals were passed on to their only other living relative, their grandfather.

Teen-
------------------------
Their grandfather, Angus, welcomed his prodigy in with open heart. He was in disbelief that he let this happen, always knowing that something was wrong with the stallion his daughter had married. He set up an organisation to attempt to bring justice to Gazette, and though he- and a lot of Breim- tried endlessly to find Devon, he was gone. Eventually, over a number of years, Ivy and Absolem managed to overcome their utterly gut wrenching despair and focus on doing their mother proud with what they could achieve in their lives.
When Ivy was 14, Angus passed away from old age, suffering his last winter, and drifting to the other side in his sleep. Ivy and her younger brother mourned their second father, but were now also focused on where to go, what to do. They remained with their grandfathers dead body for a number of days, refusing to come out purely because they were scared, lost. They had only eachother, and Ivy was too scared to face anything else.

Ivy and Absolem were eventually forced out due to hunger and thirst. They stuck close by eachother, venturing away from their grandfather for the first time in two weeks. They had dropped a lot of weight and looked like savages; their manes and tails tangled and their coats mattered terribly. They stuck close by the den though, allowing for a quick hiding spot in case trouble arose. Whenever someone passed by, they'd simply tell them that their grandfather was sleeping. Eventually this stopped, for the smell became too much. Angus' body was taken and buried properly, and Ivy and Absolem were taken under the literal wing of an adoptive mother, Belle. Belle was caring and kind, and understood that the children had been put through a lot. She gave them time to warm up to her as well, allowing them to pause their studies until they had grown accustomed to their new life.

Eventually Ivy and Absolem settled in, and warmed up to their new mum. Ivy now wanted to know what had happened to her mother, and wanted to know where her 'father' was. She asked around day in and day out, just trying to get some form of information. She was approaching the age where violence and death and the truth did not scare her so much, but even still, no one would tell her. Finally, Belle disclosed some of the information to her. It was in a shielded manner; she did not want to scar the young lady, but she did tell her the truth.

Finally Ivy knew, she had received closure and could now move on. Though she was pained to know that Devon still hadn't been found, and that she would most likely never see her father or brother, Danbo again, more than anything she wanted to focus on doing her mother proud, she wanted to make a name for herself. Naturally she began studying art, studying how to create things from scratch, make things beautiful. She spent endless hours doing so, and Belle helped too. Belle was a maker herself, and wanted to ensure that Ivy grew up to be something spectacular.
A few years later, Ivy was dubbed a maker, she specialized in polishing gems and creating sculptures from them, she built small foundations around each sculpture so that she could put intricate detail into each one. They eventually grew larger in size. She obviously started out small, with figurine type things, but as she began to get noticed for her talent, she began getting commissions for them- mainly from richer families, who wanted statue-like decorations in their homes. Absolem became a farmer above the ground, and often searched for unique rocks and stones that Ivy could use in her works. She began to branch out, creating wooden ones and even ones made from mixed materials.

Adulthood-
---------------------------------
Growing up and creating sculptures was what Ivy spent her days doing. She gained many friends due to her spunky attitude and creative personality. She eventually began branching out with her talent to create different forms of fashion; clothing, belts, bracelets, jewelry, etc. She was creating a name for herself, and- as she often hoped- was doing her mum proud. She often visited her old home to lay flowers about the floor. Many a time she'd be seen crying too, her mother never truly leaving her heart or her mind.

Because of her mother's traumatic death and her father's true identity, she had much trouble trusting males and their advances. She never felt fully comfortable around them, and it was not until she had a one night stand with another mare that she realized she cared for her own gender more than the opposite. She didn't want to ever be around stallions, they disgusted her, but mares, well to her mares represented calmness, trust and nurturing, so she turned to them whenever she needed company. She began sleeping around, not overly, or distastefully. They were always mutual and sober affairs. She merely loved the comfort that another mare could provide.

Now Ivy continues creating art for the herd, making sure her name is known to all who hear it. She wants to ensure that her very existence means something.
